Thai Massage

The techniques of Thai massage are very effective in reducing pain and stiffness in the muscles and joints, whilst increasing flexibility and mobility. It can be incredibly energising, or deeply calming, depending on what your body needs. During each treatment you will be guided through progressive stretches and yoga techniques, as sustained pressure is applied to reflex points along the meridians. This can release blocks and increase energy flow in the body.  Thai massage is especially effective in treating injury and aiding rehabilitation.  The treatment is fully clothed on a futon on the floor. You will need to wear loose cotton trousers and top. I use a combination of positions, front, side, back and/or sitting.

Pre and Post Natal Massage

Massage can help support the changing body throughout pregnancy. I offer a combination of Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, joint mobilisation, passive/active stretching and shiatsu points. Each session begins with a full consultation and postural assessment, ensuring a treatment to address your needs at that time.

After the birth, massage can encourage your body’s natural healing ability and help with postural realignment.  I also offer sessions with birth partners, sharing massage techniques and basic shiatsu points, suitable for the later stages of pregnancy and during labour.
