Herbal remedies such as calendula ointment, lavender oil, lemon juice, boneset herb and cayenne pepper provide us with safe and effective treatments for self-medication in first aid situations for ourselves and our families.

During the day we shall be covering all aspects of learning how to use and assemble an herbal first aid kit for use at home and on holiday. No experience is necessary to find the day enjoyable, informative and useful. A detailed hand-out will be given to all students to take home. I shall bring a long the remedies discussed for you all to sample. Below is an outline of the subjects covered over the course of the day:

· Cuts, bruises & wounds

· Digestive problems

· Infections

· Insect bites & stings

· Colds, ‘flu & coughs

· Sprains & muscular aches

· Burns & sunburn

· Pain

· Shock

· Equipment/supplies needed

I have been an herbal practitioner, manufacturer and supplier for over 12 years and have a clinic/workshop at Flaxdrayton Farm, South Petherton. I am passionate about my work which is varied, interesting and rewarding. I offer one to one consultations, retail, trade and made to order herbal supplies, stalls, talks and workshops. I specialise in hand-crafted products such as ointments, creams and gels. I shall bring with me on the day hand-crafted remedies for an herbal first aid kit which can be purchased at a 15% student discount special price, either on the day or at a later date.
