Bowen Technique
BOWEN TECHNIQUE – a gentle, yet dynamic and powerful, therapy in which rolling type moves are made using the fingers and thumbs at specific points on the body to disturb the muscles, soft tissue and energy. Not a form of massage or manipulation, the treatment actually stimulates the body's own innate ability to heal, continuing after the session for several days as subtle adjustments are made towards health. Common presenting problems include back and neck pain, knee problems, sports injuries, RSI, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and respiratory conditions. Each treatment takes approximately one hour, with two to three treatments at weekly intervals often being sufficient to bring relief, although further treatments are sometimes required. Treatment can be given through light clothing.
